The talk will begin with a look at the context of Zarathushtra\, his geographical location\, the society he lived in\, and so on. Following that\, we will then provide a brief overview of the philosophy that Zarathushtra presents in the Gathas. Rather than relying on later Zoroastrian tradition or an overly Abrahamic reading of the Gathas\, we will be looking at it from a purely ‘Zarathushtrian’ perspective\, as much as possible.
