The Philosophy : In Depth

The Life of Zarathushtra (coming soon)

This article will cover the life of Zarathushtra using a broad amount of sources, including small snippets given by Zarathushtra, textual sources, and the archaeology of the broader society Zarathushtra lived in (Yaz I). It will also investigate the semi-mythical legend of Zarathushtra as contained in the Avestan Spand Nask (unfortunately only surviving through Pahlavi works) in order to identify which details may reflect genuine truths (such as Zarathushtra’s close relationship with his mother, his brief imprisonment by Vīštāspa, and his murder at the age of 77). Full article coming soon.

ZARATHUSHTRIAN ASSEMBLY

Zarathushtrian Assembly was founded by a group of visionary Zoroastrians in 1990 to create a progressive platform for people of all backgrounds, regardless of current religious belief, world view, national origin, ethnicity, or personal interpretation of Zoroastrianism, to study the philosophy and teachings of Zoroaster (Zarathushtra), as taught in the Gathas (his thought-provoking mantras).
