Xshathra Vairya ‘The Dominion Worth Choosing’
Xšaθra Vairiia (or better Xšaθra Wariya) is a latter Avestan term which accurately describes Zarathushtra’s conception of a divine dominion across all existence. Typical of Zarathushtra’s thought, the exact details are not given, as it is expected to be discovered progressively as wise, good-minded humans seek to see it fulfilled in their societies. Zarathushtra mainly describes it as Vohu Xšaθra ‘Good Dominion/Authority’ or simply Xšaθra ‘Dominion, Authority’, although at the outset of Yasna 51 (Hāiti 16), we get vohū xšaθrəm vairīm /vahū xšaθram wariyam/ ‘The Good Dominion Worth Choosing’.
The idea also represents ones individual power and authority, and, more importantly, represents the metaphysical concept in the realm of mind of the ability to enact, change, and coagulate/instantiate/make whole. Full article coming soon.
